The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is proud to present the 32nd edition of the National High School Sports Record Book. As the organization responsible for protecting and promoting high school athletic programs in the United States, the NFHS and its member state associations acknowledge an obligation to make this publication available. The National High School Sports Record Book will bring proper recognition to high school boys and girls, coaches and teams who have achieved outstanding performances in interscholastic athletic competition. The NFHS believes such recognition helps stimulate interest in high school athletic programs and motivates other competitors to improve their skills. More than victories or state championships, learning to be a sport is the single-most important value gained from participating in interscholastic athletics. The NFHS has made sportsmanship its No. 1 priority because it believes the future of interscholastic athletics rests with an understanding and commitment to fair play, ethical behavior and integrity. The NFHS guidance of the national interscholastic records program will ensure that only deserving teams and individuals will lay claim to national records. The National High School Records Committee oversees the interscholastic records program. The committee, which meets annually, forms policy which it believes is necessary to make the records program reliable and the records authentic. Occasionally, new policies have required deletion of performances which appeared in previous editions. The NFHS invites information which may lead to additional records listings or corrections of existing listings.
The Record Book can be ordered online at www.nfhs.com for $13.20.
