J.B. Pennington’s Shea Putman set a national and AHSAA record with seven straight home runs in seven consecutive plate appearances during a three-game stretch in the past week.

The senior Snead State commitment belted three home runs in three plate appearances at Hanceville on Thursday then hit three more against Good Hope on Monday and capped the streak with a homer in her first appearance against Locust Fork on Tuesday.

No player has hit more than five home runs in consecutive plate appearances. Putman drove in 11 runs during the streak and has nine of the team's 12 home runs this season.
