NFHS Officials Association Membership Fee Structure

Group	Effective July 1, 2005
Tier 1: 100% State Association	$12
Tier 2: 100% Organization	$20
Tier 3: Individual or Special Group	$30

REQUIREMENTS/GUIDELINES

Tier 1: 100% State ($12 Rate) - Defined as: NFHS member state associations (or designee) that license all officials in the state, in all sports: Membership data must be sent electronically from member state association or designated state licensing agency

Electronic transfers occur 3-4 times per year

No renewals are sent to NFHS Officials Association members within those states

Membership period is from July 1 - June 30 annually

Membership cards are sent directly to state association

Fees are sent to the NFHS from the state office based on numbers sent through electronic submission

No refunds issued for duplicates

Tier 2: 100% Organization ($20 Rate) - Defined as: State organizations that are sport specific, local organizations, or any organization not defined in Tier 1: 100% of organizational members must be NFHS Officials Association members

*Minimum number of organizational members is 50 (*this number may need to be reviewed and increased in the future, depending on insurance exposure)

Minimum number of 50 must be met on initial submission

All submissions of membership data must be electronic (disc or e-mail, contact nfoadata@nfhs.org for more information)

Membership begins upon receipt of appropriate fees and data

Membership period is one year from the date payment is received by the NFHS

Group must provide NFHS with one (1) contact person who is responsible for transfer information, billing, correspondence, etc.

Renewal reminder will be sent via email to the contact person quarterly by the NFHS

Membership cards will be sent to members individually via first class mail



Tier 3: Individual or Special Group ($30 Rate) - Defined as: State or local organizations with less than 50 members, or any individual/organization not defined in Tier 1 or 2: Sent to NFHS by individuals or special groups less than 50

Membership period is one year from the date appropriate payment and data is received by the NFHS, or anniversary date which ever is later

Membership cards will be sent to members individually via first class mail

Special groups:

must provide NFHS with one (1) contact person who is responsible for group information, billing, correspondence, etc.

may submit electronic or paper data (see Special Group Application Form)

Contact person will be sent a group renewal form quarterly
