2007 Additional Case Book Situation

Situation: Team A has two competitors entered in the 100 meter Dash. The competitors report wearing black, mid-thigh length compression shorts (bicycle style) and red tops. The school colors are black and red. Both items appear to be the school issued uniform for the boys and the girls' teams from School A. The competitors are allowed to compete. Ruling: Correct procedure, legal uniform. Comment: The compression short, one piece uniform, loose fitting boxer-type bottoms are all legal for male and female competitors providing all other uniform requirements in Rule 4 are met.
