NFHS 10th Annual Girls & Women in Sports Day Luncheon & Awards Celebration

Then National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has celebrated Girls & Women in Sports Day since moving its headquarters to Indianapolis in 2000. Each year, the NFHS recognizes high school students, coaches and athletic administrators from across Indiana with a special luncheon awards program. There are seven NFHS Girls & Women in Sports Day Awards including the IHSAA Sportsmanship Award, NFHS Spirit of Sport Award, Courage Award, Achievement Award, Leadership Award, Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award and the Robert F. Kanaby/NCAA Citizenship Award. (See link below for Nomination requirements and forms.)

The NFHS Girls & Women in Sports Day luncheon has featured outstanding keynote speakers in the past ten years, including Ruth Riley, WNBA and Indiana high school basketball star; Paula Wilkins, collegiate soccer standout and University of Wisconsin soccer coach; Nadia Comaneci, one of the greatest Olympic gymnasts of all time; and Lyn St. James, Indy car driver.
